Hornby R251 BR 3F 0-6-0 Tender Loco ( Much Modified See Description)
This has been extensively modified by the fitting of Romford wheels , 5 pole motor, brake gear , alternative buffers , sanding boxes , seperate wire handrails , front lamps ,
extra boiler fittings , screw link couplings , cab drop plate , driver (no fireman) and this is just the loco . The tender is a work of art with a much altered tender sides which now have a flaired prototypical top to it which has coal extension rails fittes ,full set of fire irons ,brake winding handles ,realistic coal load ,brake gear , alternative buffers , screw link couplings and there is even a bucket fitted on back of it . It is fitted with metal 12 spoked wheels.
The rear coupling is the standard 'wide' hornby type and there is no coupling on the front of the loco . The draw bar has been altered to give a closer coupling between the loco and the tender . The whole of the loco & tender are heavily weathered to a good standard . The number on the loco is 43194 and the tender has the early BR lion over the wheel emblem on it .
It has been tested and runs OK in both directions . PLEASE NOTE THAT DUE TO THE ROMFORD WHEELS ALL BEING FLANGED AND THE CLOSE COUPLING OF THE TENDER THE LOCO NEEDS AT LEAST RADIUS 3 CURVES TO OPERATE ON .
In my mind the tender alone and the work that has been done to it is worth the asking price .

;Now for the terms :- All items I list are to the best and most honest description I can give but a full refund will be given if buyer feels that it has been wrongly described and gives me reason that they think it was a miss description this would also include postage but item must arrive back to me in the same condition as it was sent. If an item is purchased and is not exactly what the purchaser required again a full refund will be given but the return postage would be at the purchasers own cost. All items are shipped at cost plus just a very small amount for packaging as I try where possible to recycle packaging but you cannot recycle packaging tape etc. I gladly except bids from overseas but any loss of parcels posted abroad will not be accepted by me unless buyer has paid a premium for insurance loss.
